Fields and quiet villages — the everyday Luxembourg only visible from above.
Aerial photographs of the Alzette valley farmland north of Luxembourg City — the villages of Walferdange and Lorentzweiler from above in the first week of April. The patchwork of crops, hedgerows, and drainage channels visible from altitude is invisible from the road. Shot in April 2026 at 80 metres altitude with a DJI Mini 5 Pro.
Luxembourg has lost more than twelve per cent of its arable land since 1990 as the capital expands northward. The Alzette corridor visible in these frames is under active development pressure. These photographs were made at the point where suburban Luxembourg ends and its agricultural interior begins — a boundary that moves every year.
