After the Storm
Series · 02 frames
A storm crossing the Upper Sûre, and the arc it left standing over the hills.
Aerial photographs made in the hour after a storm crossed the Éislek plateau in northern Luxembourg. A rainbow stood over the hills for four minutes before the light changed. The road viaduct spanning the Upper Sûre reservoir was still wet when the frame was made. Shot in June 2026 at 80–90 metres altitude with a DJI Mini 5 Pro.
The Éislek is Luxembourg's least-populated region — an Ardennes plateau preserved from post-war industrialisation and protected today within the Upper Sûre Natural Park and the Our Nature Park. The landscape from the air looks essentially unchanged from how it would have appeared to any aircraft flying this corridor in the past century.
